The drama in the Sharp/Fields case against Charles Amrich continues later this month when the attorneys will make arguments based on the ruling by the village electoral board.
The hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. in C304 in Lake County court. Today, the attorneys agreed to the Temporary Restraining Order, which prevents the Clerks of both counties (McHenry and Lake) from removing their name from the ballot. For now, his name is on the ballot with a note "Objection Pending".
Ancel Glink will represent the village, defending the boards ruling. Tax payers will continue to foot the bill for this political tarring. And, if the ruling is overturned, expect outrage from residents.

Shouldn't it be the objectioner's attorney defending? Why is the village paying to continue an attempt to keep the sitting mayor's opponent off the ballot? Nice little set up Debbie has going on! All on our dime!
ReplyDeleteIf it gets overturned, and they appeal the ruling, who pays for that? no, let me guess! The taxpayers!
