Island Lake Electoral Board a Puppet Show

Local municipalities should not be judge and jury over their own opponents. The judges in Island Lake were the very people who have publicly supported Herrmann for Mayor by being petitioners for her Mayoral candidacy. Does that seem fair? Every election cycle, objections are made in one or a few towns around the area and then the supporters or opponents sit in judgement. The town or city has to absorb the costs to carry on the hearings as well. In Island Lake, estimates are high on the cost of three hearings and lots of legal discussion in between hearings. When Shanon Fox read a prepared statement opposing the candidates, it was proof of a biased and intentional injustice and of the puppet show going on in Island Lake.

How do you stop this? Write your Illinois state senator and Illinois state representative and tell them you support the elimination of local municipal and township electoral boards. Tell them to move the hearings to the County. This is a prime example, especially where in this case, it took three hearings before any evidence was provided against or for the candidates.

  2. Thanks Freddy. I just spit my coke across the room and landed on the floor laughing. Great analogy between the truth and levity.
Island Lakers get slapped in the face once again by embarrassing news stories and astronomical legal fees.
Pack your bags Herrmann and take that pos McCorkle with you.
You'll both be ruined in politics and law enforcement.
Does anyone know what happened to the Warrior?

  3. This was great you forgot to show Sharps Tow truck going out of town and not coming back. That would make State road look a lot better than the Village letting him spread junk from Colvers to the car wash. Who would move to town with such a wonderful appearance.

  4. I wonder if there will be charges brought against Herrmann, Fox, Morris, Little, Sharp, or Fields for this? If so, the defendants should have to pay for their own lawyers.

  5. I'm usually a reserved person but I can't sit silent any longer. Thank God for the few people who have questioned the secrets of Mayor Herrmann. It seems that her credibility is fading fast.
Mr Reilly brings up a good point about our village's corridor. The area around the repair shop next to the car wash and the vehicles parked around Sharps body shop ruin any chance of new business being attracted to our town.
Is that why Mr Sharp has objected to Mr Amrich? To see that Herrmann stays in office so he can maintain his JUNK yard on Island Lake's main thoroughfare.
All we can do is hope that the County sees through the unethical electoral board in Island Lake and keep Mr Amrich on the ballot.
I'll write his name on the ballot no matter what happens in his appeal.
    God Bless you Charles Amrich!

than advertize on a radio station come see us we are next to the Village pigpen on route 176 you can't miss us
We have Sharp Piling Junk cars or as he would say cars for repair Piling up on both sides of 176. He went so far as parking them in a church parking lot than down Basilar Dr After someone Made comment at a Village board meeting they where moved. He does not even have enough room for his employee's to park I have been told that business in town are to provide parking for all of your Employees not half on the street and half off. Here is a copy of the code from the Village web site Zoning 9.9.4 Doesn't look like Sharp follows these Guide lines the way cars/trucks are piled around his buildings.

  9. Hey Ed, where do we file our objections against Louie (not so) Sharp? He has turned his property into a ghetto of junk cars. Other towns require solid fences to conceal such eyesores.
Does anyone know what Builidng Inspector Desort does all day? It seems like he ignores the obvious violations of Herrmann's friends. Comprehensive Corridor Plan my AXX!
And you Mr CEO Field, your wealth doesn't impress me. Everyone noticed the smirk on your face while you attempted to defame two good men just so you can continue to keep your contract with the village.
April can't come fast enough. Herrmann will be given the boot as well as yourself. Please take your millions and move to Volo. Yourself, Sharp and Herrmann can start a new scam game there.
