Lots of interest draws high ratings on blog

Most traffic is coming to the articles on Amrich and the ongoing drama.

  1. It IS exciting to see so many hits on this blog and on the DH. There's more interest now in the coming Village Election this spring than ever before. And ironically, most of the attention generated is due Herrmann herself - her broad mis-steps and over-reach - as well as her entirely tone-deaf reading of what it is the PEOPLE want. Rather than what Herrmann wants, and what it is Herrmann wants them to want. And tangentially, what it is that Ancel Glink wants all of the above to want - fat legal billings.

    1) Herrmann proposed making the Village Clerk an appointed position. So that she, the Mayor, could now control the Clerk as just another mere employee; rather than have that Clerk be the one last elected Official remaining as a check and balance against a runaway and rogue Administration. A stampeding Herd. How did Herrmann's wish fare at the polls?

Citizens voted more than 80% AGAINST this squandering of their rights, as proposed by Herrmann.

And this result, many months BEFORE Herrmann-appointed "Clerk" Mascillino proved the wisdom of the voters in so overwhelmingly a fashion?

  2. And so, how did the real-world result of Herrmann's own wish - an APPOINTED "Clerk" - thankfully denied by the voters of Island Lake - pan out? LOL! Both embarrassing and educational to say the least!!!!

Connie Mascillino, as our newly-minted and Herrmann-APPOINTED "Clerk", officially received and stamped Field's and Sharp's Official Objections on a Thursday. Yet on the following Friday, and at the close of the Period of Objection? Our Herrmann-appointed "Clerk" Mascillino denied that any Objections even existed. Only after pressure was brought to bear by Lake County Officials upon the Village, Herrmann and Mascillino; and ONLY then - did "Clerk" Mascillino concede that Objections DID in fact exist! Yet she then denied them copies of said officially-filed documents. Filed documents that her "Office" compels her to produce, at least and until, in her own illegal and faulty judgement, that Herrmann (and Ancel Glink) should be allowed a chance to review them over the weekend first?!?! WTF!

Yeah, CON-nie - you're a "clerk" all right! LOL! Herrmann's "clerk" - NOT the Village Clerk.

The voters in this town proved far wiser than both you and Herrmann. Does that bother you? Aren't you embarrassed? Connie - you're aggressively squandering your past and once-deserved positive reputation. The Village and its Citizens you're now SWORN to serve BEFORE yourself. You don't "need" Herrmann. You "need" yourself. Too bad that all we see now is a Herrmann & Glink Flunkie rather than the Connie of yesteryear. What pisses so many of us off? We have more faith in the Connie of yesteryear than you do in the Connie of Today, apparently. Suicide of any kind is a very sad, sad choice.

  3. 2) Herrmann proposed a new Village Hall - to the tune of almost, $6 million dollars. $6 million dollars we don't have. Or $20k to $25k per month in debt service we can't afford. Or even the $30k+ we minimally owe for design services we're both committed to pay for and can yet ill-afford either?

So, how did Herrmann's wish fare at the polls?

Citizens voted more than 75% AGAINST this squandering of their tax dollars, as proposed by Herrmann.

And this result, many months BEFORE a Chicago Tribune investigative series on such financing of various municipal TajMahals, proved the wisdom of the voters in so overwhelmingly a fashion? Said investigative series by the Trib proved that while all involved were being upbraided again and again by their "Herrmanns" and "Foxes" , that the financing of all said TajMahals "can't be added to your property tax bills"? That in FACT, THEY CAN! LOL!

Yet again - the voters and citizens of the Village again, proved far wiser than Herrmann and the Herd. And again, well BEFORE their collective wisdom on these matters were confirmed by documented reality later.

  4. Herd? Herrmann? You're toast! BUH-BYE! Not only have the voters had their say-so?! Subsequent Reality and Record has affirmed the voters' accurate judgement since then.

  5. It seems the village electorate, in general, has a more firmly-anchored tether to fiscal reality than does the current Herd. At each and every turning point? Island Lake WON, the Herd LOST.

That demonstrates that the current Herd views themselves as far more worthy than the rest of us - those that have to finance their flights of fancy.

This spring is going to be great!!!!!
